Krasnodar Region to develop new export tracking system

«By the end of 2025, foreign trade turnover in the Krasnodar Region had increased by 10.6%, total exports by 20.5%, and non-resource, non-energy exports by 20.3%. This growth is a direct result of the gradual diversification of the region’s export portfolio. We can also see that the regional economy is becoming more self-sufficient: imports fell by 5.9% last year,’ said Deputy Governor Alexander Ruppel.

Last year, the Krasnodar Region traded with 172 countries and exported goods to 139 of them. The region supplies meat, vegetables, and oilseeds to China; ferrous metal products and cereals to Egypt; fats, animal and vegetable oils, sugar, and fertilisers to Turkey, India, and Azerbaijan; and dairy products, confectionery, and chemicals to Kazakhstan. To Belarus, the region supplies fruit, nuts, cereals and their processed products, plastic goods, paper, and electrical machinery and equipment.

«The sustainable development of the Krasnodar Region’s economy is closely tied to its position in international markets. Exports are a key driver of the region’s business activity. However, effective management requires reliable tools. Up-to-date information on the activities of each exporter will allow us to move beyond simply recording statistics and influence real outcomes by helping companies grow, removing barriers, and managing economic flows,» said Yulia Prikhodko, Head of the Department of Business Development and Foreign Economic Activity.

According Yulia Prikhodko, the region’s new export tracking system will enable the region to identify challenges, enhance transparency in foreign economic activity, target government support measures more effectively, improve export growth forecasting, and strengthen the Krasnodar Region’s position in international markets.
